Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design Competition: Call for Entries

The A’ Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design Competition is a freestyle design competition open to both concept stage and realized works designed by professional and young designers, design companies and other business in this industry worldwide.
The award is recognised internationally and gains the attention of design oriented companies, professionals and interest groups. Having the A’ Award also attracts the eyes of design media and winners can expect to find better and higher profile leads, which in turn can mean a potential step ahead in their commercial life.
The Jury is composed of both academic and professional participants, such as chief executive officers or head designers of companies and faculty heads or professors. In addition, the A’ Award features a focus group jury, which is composed of ordinary people to normalise the scoring by eliminating the bias on aesthetics and form sections; the votes of professionals, academics and the focus group are weighted to determine the final result.
What to Present?
The Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design Award considers submissions on multiple dimensions. Applicants are expected to submit high-resolution images of the product, together with a presentation as a pdf document. Downscaled versions can be sumbitted for the physical exibition.
Awarding Criteria
The best products are selected according to form, functional and emotional aspects of the product; the products are further considered for their degree of innovation, aesthetic qualities, functionality and usefulness in addition to energy efficiency.
Aims and Visions
The aim of the Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Award is to attract the attention of magazine editors, transportation media, and designers to a particular business by means publicity and dissemination.
The submission deadline is September 30, 2012; however, a late deadline of February 28, 2013, is also an option.
