It was at last month’s Essen Motor Show where Germany’s Porsche-focused tuning house TECHART first announced details of a new styling program for the latest Porsche 911 Turbo models.
Designed to both integrate with and accentuate the new 911 Turbo’s wider, flatter and longer body, TECHART’s latest carbon-fibre ‘Aerodynamic Kit’ incorporates a front spoiler with active aerodynamics, stationary rear spoiler, roof spoiler, and rear diffuser trim. Other design features include side skirts, headlamp trims, aero wings integrated into the front air inlets, sport tailpipes, and newly-designed TECHART Formula IV light-alloy wheels.
As well as claiming high levels of load-bearing capacity and dimensional stability with a low tare weight, TECHART designers say they have managed to improve air flow around the car by adapting the aero kit to the basic 911 Turbo’s design language.
The new TECHART Porsche 911 Turbo will make its debut later on this year in March at the 84th Geneva International Motor Show.
