Subaru has officially unveiled the all-new Legacy at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show.
The new Legacy ushers in the sixth generation of its model, a full 25 years since the first generation Legacy was released back in 1989.
“Muscularity with Agility” was adopted as the overall design theme when developing the new Legacy’s styling. The revised model also showcases the new face of Subaru, with its body-integrated hexagonal grille and ‘hawk-eye’ headlights.
As well as front end with its three dimensional nose cone design, the production model also somewhat retains the character lines on the body side which were featured on the Legacy Concept version revealed last year. However, the rear has been considerably more softened when compared to the original Concept vehicle.
In order to improve upon the car’s interior packaging, certain external aspects have been revised. The A pillar, for example, has been moved forward to expand the cabin area. In addition, front quarter windows were added with door-mounted side mirrors to reduce the front blind spot created by the side mirrors for improved forward visibility.
New safety technology features include “EyeSight”, which incorporates fully revamped stereo cameras that increase the view angle and view distance by approximately 40%. The new Legacy also gets Subaru’s first rear radar system.
Underneath, the chassis, steering, suspension and brakes have been totally revamped. To improve the rigidity of the rear suspension and its mounting positions on the chassis, the shape of the rear support sub-frame has been completely renewed and redesigned to function as a member that increases body rigidity, say Subaru engineers.
Power comes either via a 2.5-litre four-cylinder FB25 Boxer engine that manages 175 hp at 5,600rpm, or a more powerful 3.6-litre six-cylinder EZ Boxer engine capable of 256 hp at 6,000rpm. Both units are mated to a Lineartronic CVT gearbox.
Subaru’s UK bosses currently say the brand will not be launching the new Legacy in Britain.

Whats up this is kinda of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
