Video: Victory Racing and Roland Sands Design Build ‘Project 156′ – Part 1
Roland Sands Design and Victory Racing are currently co-building a hand-built road racing bike with a prototype Victory engine. Dubbed “Project 156”, the design collaboration was first announced back in April.
Together they plan to race the bike at Pikes Peak (Race to the Clouds) – said to be America’s most challenging road race with 156 corners up a 14,000 ft (4,267 m) mountain.
The first part of the video documentary reveals the frame of the roadster, including the tail section. However, the engine remains deliberately blurred in the footage.
Some industry insiders are suggesting Victory may be on the verge of introducing a naked roadster to its model lineup in an attempt to further compete with the likes of Harley-Davidson.
