Rolls-Royce Retains No. 1 Spot for Super-Luxury Automotive in the Middle East
Rolls-Royce has marked a consecutive record sales result for 2013 in the Middle East. A 17 per cent year-on-year growth was recorded in the region, making it the best performing region for Rolls-Royce worldwide in terms of growth for the second consecutive year. This resilience reflects the status of the regional economy. Globally, 3,630 cars were sold during the year, which represents the best sales result in the company’s history. The announcement comes as the marque celebrates its 110th year.
Sales of Phantom Series II, Rolls-Royce’s pinnacle family of models, which was updated in 2012, scored a 45% growth in sales in comparison to 2012. Sales for Ghost remained strong throughout the year and the launch of Wraith, and the consequent start of deliveries, contributed to this year’s performance. Bespoke uptake in the Middle East peaked at 100% of cars delivered, reinforcing customer demand for uncompromised exclusivity in the region.
“2013 has been an exceptional year”, said Geoff Briscoe, Regional Director, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Middle East, Africa and Latin America. “Again this year, Rolls-Royce has confirmed its position as undisputed leader in the super-luxury segment. No one sells more cars above the 250,000 US Dollar mark in the region.”
