The Rolls-Royce Dawn has been named 2016 ‘Design of the Year’ by luxury-lifestyle magazine Robb Report in its inaugural Cars of the Year awards. The accolade comes just weeks after the new convertible’s international launch in Cape Town, South Africa.
The fourth model in the Rolls-Royce family, Dawn is powered by a 6.6-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine and features a multi-layer foldaway fabric roof that, when in place, is claimed to make the drophead the world’s quietest convertible car.
“Dawn’s styling is sensuous yet contemporary – it represents the most glamorous expression of Rolls-Royce luxury,” said Rolls-Royce CEO, Torsten Müller-Ötvös. “Dawn’s sleek and powerful design appeals to a younger group of discerning customers.”
The first UK edition of Robb Report launched on newsstands and online this week, featuring its first ever Cars of the Year awards.
