Radical to Display All-New RXC at Salon Privé
Radical will be attending Salon Privé this September and displaying for the first time its new Radical RXC.
The RXC is Radical’s first ever enclosed car and marks a new stage in the development of the marque, by bringing Le Mans engineering and aerodynamics to the road in a package that aims to deliver increased performance whilst remaining relatively easy to own.
The V6 engine and seven-speed gearbox configuration has been developed specifically for the RXC under the guidance of Radical’s MD Phil Abbott and Chief Designer Nick Walford and his development team.
The engine is a 3.7-litre 24-valve V6 unit with twin-independent variable cam timing and sequential multi-port electronic injection, controlled by a bespoke Radical/AER Life engine management system as employed successfully on the SR3 SL roadster.
The exterior features gullwing doors, part of the most complex body that Radical has ever produced and incorporates both composite and carbon fibre sections.
Salon Privé, meanwhile, is approaching its eighth year in 2013, and takes place from the 4th to 6th of September at West London’s Syon Park.
