Renault has revealed a trio of renderings showing the design of the new Captur ahead of its debut at the Geneva motor show next week.
With an upgraded design, inside and out, and the arrival of new equipment, the B-segment model gets a more emphatic crossover look, largely in an attempt to strengthen the kinship with its big brother, the Kadjar.
For example, the grille has been upgraded to more closely resemble that of Renault’s other crossovers, notably with a chrome strip. Front and rear, the bumper also includes new skid plates to create an off-road aesthetic.
Additional details include full LED “Pure Vision” headlights that sharpen the car’s appearance somewhat, and which are also claimed to improve both safety and efficiency.
Further LED daytime running lights are built into the lower bumper in a C shape, forming the brand’s light signature. The rear lights feature the same signature, visible day and night.
There will also be a fixed glass roof option for certain trim levels.
The Captur is currently the top-selling B-segment crossover in Europe, with 215,670 units sold in 2016 alone.
