Following on from last week’s reveal of the hardcore Elise Cup 250, Lotus has now unveiled a lighter, faster version of the Evora coupe, namely, the new Evora Sport 410.
Lotus engineers have managed to cut the weight of the standard Evora 400 by 70 kg, resulting in a new kerb weight of 1,325 kg. With a number of carbon-fibre components as standard, and sharing the 404 bhp supercharged V6 engine with the track-derived 3-Eleven, the Evora Sport 410 clocks 0-60 in 3.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 186 mph.
With a lower centre of gravity, a drop in mass, and a power boost, the Sport 410 is capable of lapping the company’s Hethel test track in 1 minute 28 seconds – that’s 3 seconds faster than the Evora 400.
The car’s reduced kerb weight has also allowed the recalibration of the suspension, with improved geometry and completely revised damping, as well as a ride height 5 mm lower than the Evora 400. Forged aluminium wheels, and optional Michelin Cup 2 tyres, complete the car’s dynamic revisions.
The Sport 410’s manual gearbox features a low inertia flywheel, while a Torsen-type limited slip differential gives better traction, and faster exit speeds when cornering. Automatic transmission will come as an option, with gear selection via aluminium paddles mounted to the steering wheel.
Design changes include a redesigned carbon-fibre tailgate that combines five separate elements into one, and new lighter-weight door trim panels.
Lotus designers say the new carbon-fibre components have played the single biggest role in the evolution of the Sport 410. These include front splitter, roof panel, tailgate, and rear diffuser as well as race-derived carbon-fibre seats and a revised front access panel. The one-piece carbon tailgate incorporates a louvered section, and together with carbon rear quarter-light panels help provide the car with a fastback-style trailing roofline. These changes are also claimed to have improved the car’s aerodynamic downforce by 15% with no increase in drag.
The Evora Sport 410 will be limited to a global production run of just one-hundred and fifty vehicles per year and will be available in all major markets from June 2016.
A specific North American version will be announced later in 2016.

Thanks for the helpful posting. It is also my opinion that mesothelioma cancer has an very long latency interval, which means that signs of the disease might not exactly emerge right until 30 to 50 years after the initial exposure to asbestos. Pleural mesothelioma, that is the most common type and has an effect on the area within the lungs, could cause shortness of breath, upper body pains, plus a persistent coughing, which may bring on coughing up blood.
A formidable share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing just a little evaluation on this. And he actually bought me breakfast because I discovered it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the deal with! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to debate this, I really feel strongly about it and love studying extra on this topic. If potential, as you turn out to be experience, would you thoughts updating your blog with more details? It is extremely helpful for me. Massive thumb up for this weblog submit!
