Luxury yacht builder The Italian Sea Group has revealed a new boat designed by Lamborghini.
Measuring 63 feet long and weighing in at 24 tons, the limited edition vessel – named “Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63”, in reference to the Italian supercar manufacturer’s 1963 foundation – is claimed to interpret the design lines, created by Marcello Gandini in the Miura and the Countach of the 60s and 70s, in “a contemporary way”.
The hard top is inspired by Lamborghini roadsters, while the bow lights are an ‘homage’ to the Terzo Millennio and Sián FKP 37 concept cars, both distinctive for their Y-shaped front lights.
The interior also carries the Y-motif, as well as hexagon shapes and materials borrowed from Lamborghini’s current car design language.
For example, the yacht’s cockpit clearly mirrors that of a Lamborghini car, especially with the sports seats and steering wheel; the two start/stop buttons (one for each MAN V12-2000 hp engine) are also said to be exactly the same as those used to start a Lamborghini car engine.
In terms of performance, the boat is claimed to reach 60 knots, making it the fastest of the Tecnomar fleet. It will be available at the beginning of 2021.
