Lamborghini Announces Record Global Car Sales in 2017
Lamborghini has revealed it set a new company sales record for 2017 – with 145 dealers serving 50 countries, worldwide sales increased by 10% from 3,457 to 3,815 deliveries.
As a result, the Italian luxury super sports car producer continued its global growth for the seventh consecutive year.
For 2017, the brand also set sales records across all key regions: Shipments were up 18% for EMEA (“Europe, Middle East, Africa”) with a dispatch of 1,477 vehicles; North America was up 4% with 1,338 vehicles traversing the Atlantic; and Asia Pacific saw a rise of 9% as a result of exactly 1,000 cars being sold.
With 1,095 units the USA remains the largest single market, followed by Japan (411), UK (353), Germany (303), Greater China (265), Canada (211) and the Middle East (164).
Additionally, both major model lines achieved record sales figures: Sales of the V12 Aventador grew by 6% from 1,104 to 1,173 units; and the sales performance of the V10 Huracán was even stronger, growing by 12% from 2,353 to 2,642 units.
Overall, the company has almost tripled its sales numbers since 2010, when it sold just 1,302 units.
“In 2017 Lamborghini has proven to be in consistently good shape. Delivering another all-time high for the seventh consecutive year confirms the sustainability of our product and commercial strategy,” said company boss, Stefano Domenicali.
The world premiere of the Urus SUV at the end of 2017, and its market introduction starting from summer 2018, will further generate a “quantum leap” in growth says Lamborghini.
