Kia Reveals First Image of All-New ‘XCeed’ Crossover
Kia has released the first image of its all-new XCeed crossover, due to be revealed later in June.
The new model, which will sit alongside the existing Ceed hatchback, Ceed Sportswagon and Proceed estate, is a product of the Korean brand’s design centre in Frankfurt, where it has been penned under the direction of Gregory Guillaume, who currently serves as vice president of design at Kia’s European division.
“There’s another style, another type of vehicle, that we feel very strongly deserves to be a new member of the Ceed family. It will the play the role that’s needed to make the Ceed range stronger and even more exciting, more appealing, to European consumers,” claims Guillaume.
“The sporty design and demeanour of the new Kia XCeed CUV makes it more innately desirable than many taller, larger SUVs. Yet it offers this without compromising on versatility, with its intelligent packaging achieving the cabin and storage space of an SUV in a sportier body and more compact footprint,” adds Emilio Herrera, chief operating officer of Kia Europe.
The XCeed will be officially revealed in full on 26 June. UK on-sale date, specification and pricing will be confirmed in due course.
