The I-PACE concept car, which made its global debut at the LA Auto Show back in November last year, has now been officially confirmed for production.
Jaguar’s engineering and design teams have created a bespoke electric architecture, matched with a five-seat cab-forward SUV design for what is set to become the brand’s first-ever battery-powered electric vehicle.
And the British manufacturer already claims to have received 350 deposits for the new car, which will aim to target the likes of the Tesla Model X as well as future contenders from Audi and Mercedes-Benz.
Expected to cost in the region of £60,000, it will be revealed in late 2017 before hitting the road in 2018.
