Ex-Ferrari Innovation Boss Joins Aston Martin
Aston Martin has appointed Maximilian Szwaj as its new vice president and chief technical officer.
Szwaj joins Aston Martin from Maserati and Ferrari where he served as head of innovation and body engineering. He has spent more than 25 years in the automotive industry and held management positions at BMW and Porsche as well as his most recent position at Maserati and Ferrari.
In this new executive role at Aston Martin, Szwaj will be responsible for the brand’s global engineering operations and will report directly to president and CEO Dr Andy Palmer and be based at the company’s headquarters at Gaydon, Warwickshire.
“The company is at a significant point in its history, and I’m excited to play a part in developing a series of new cars and technologies that will reshape Aston Martin for the future,” says Szwaj.
“Max has a wealth of experience across engineering and product delivery, his experience, skills and passion will make him a great leader for the engineering team as we prepare the business for the next generation of Aston Martin products,” adds company boss, Palmer.
