Following the unveiling of the third generation Monster 1200 at the Milan International Motorcycle show back in November last year, Ducati has now introduced the Monster 821, a mid-size version of the new model and the latest entry to the world of Monster.
With an overall weight of 179.5kg (dry weight), the 821 retains the new chassis and styling of the Monster 1200, and is powered by the latest edition of Ducati’s water-cooled 821 Testastretta 11° engine, which combines 110 bhp and 65.9ft-lb of torque.
As well as an adjustable seat height, the model also features 8-level traction control, 3-level ABS and Ducati’s 3-level Ride-by-Wire riding modes.
The 821 is finished in Ducati red with red frame and black wheels or white with red frame and matte red wheels, while the 821 Dark variant features a black frame with matching black wheels. Both red and white liveries are equipped with colour-matched single-seat covers.
The Monster 821 will be made available in the UK from July 2014 onwards.
