BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupé Wins 2013 GOOD DESIGN Award
The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design has awarded the BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupé luxury concept car with the GOOD DESIGN Award 2013 in the Transportation category.
This latest recognition comes a few days before the display of the Gran Lusso at the Concept Cars exhibition, which takes place at Les Invalides in Paris from January 29 to February 2 as part of the 29th Festival Automobile International.
The BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso is a one-off model that represents Pininfarina’s design vision of a luxurious BMW Coupé. The design teams say they worked in close collaboration to create a “new automotive persona” aimed at the ultra high-end luxury class.
At the start of next month, during the Ambiente trade fair in Frankfurt, the German Design Council will also be assigning to the Gran Lusso a Special Mention in the Transportation and Public Space category within the German Design Award 2014.
