Bertone to Reveal Aston Martin Shooting Brake Concept at Geneva

Italian car design studio Bertone has created a one-off shooting brake concept based on the Aston Martin Rapide.
The sports car, named as “Bertone Jet 2+2”, has been designed to celebrate a double historical anniversary. At this year’s Geneva Motor Show, Bertone will be celebrating both Aston Martin’s centenary and sixty years of cooperation between the Italian company and the luxury English brand.
Realized as a one-off vehicle, Bertone’s interpretation of the Aston Martin Rapide represents a luxurious shooting-brake design. However, beneath the skin, the concept retains the mechanical engineering of the original model (5.9-litre V12). The Rapide Bertone was commissioned by an Aston Martin collector who took part in person in the whole design development of the project, from the first phases of the style research to the manufacture of the car in the workshop, choosing the bodywork paint as well as the leather trimming and the cockpit upholstery.
The newly envisioned Jet 2+2 follows the Jet 2 concept car from 2004 (pictured above), which was also a shooting brake design (based on the then Vanquish model).
