Bentley has taken the wraps off the new Bentayga V8 Design Series, which is being described by the luxury British brand as “a contemporary styled and visually dynamic” version of the Bentayga V8.
The Design Series mixes bespoke exterior and interior features, together with a suite of existing Bentayga options, to create a new special edition model.
Externally, key styling features developed by Mulliner, the company’s in-house personal commissioning division, include a body-coloured lower front bumper apron and twin gloss black tailpipes, as well as seven-spoke grey alloy wheels complete with self levelling logo badges (the ‘B’ badge centres maintain a vertical orientation as the wheels rotate, thanks to the inclusion of a special weighting mechanism).
Inside the colour-themed cabin, an all-new carbon-fibre weave applied to the dashboard and doors, as well as an accent design line colour split with black leather seats and a Breitling clock with mother of pearl detailing.
The car’s 4.0-litre V8, meanwhile, develops 542 bhp and 568 lb-ft of torque, resulting in a top speed of 180 mph and 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds.
The Design Series joins a line-up of models that includes the Bentayga Hybrid and Bentayga Speed; the latter was revealed less than two months ago and is currently the world’s fastest production SUV.
