Bentley Teases Design of All-New Flying Spur
Bentley has today released teaser images of the new Flying Spur, which is set to make its market debut later on this year.
The luxury carmaker says it is “innovating beyond the existing boundaries of performance, refinement and luxury with the introduction of an all-new four-door Grand Tourer”.
Powered by Bentley’s 6.0-litre, twin turbo W12 engine, which developed 616 bhp and enabled a 0-62 mph time of 4.6 seconds, the current generation Flying Spur became the fastest road-going luxury saloon in the world when it launched back in 2013.
An even faster version followed in 2016, namely, the Flying Spur W12 S, which became the first four-door Bentley to have a top speed in excess of 200 mph.
Rumour has it that the new third generation Flying Spur will be getting a plug-in hybrid option as well as retaining the existing W12 petrol unit.
Externally, in terms of styling, the refreshed model is expected to borrow design cues from the latest Continental GT that debuted in the latter half of 2017.
