Bentley has revealed the new Continental GT Convertible ‘Galene Edition’. Developed in collaboration with British yacht company, Princess Yachts, the luxury carmaker’s bespoke commissioning division, Mulliner, says the car’s styling has been inspired by yacht design.
Painted in a ship-like “Glacier White”, with a matching bodywork kit, the Galene Edition is specified with lower brightware in “Sequin Blue”. A dark blue, four-layered retractable hood and 21″ polished “Propeller” wheels complete the external look.
On the inside, the exterior paintwork is echoed in the stowage case and fascia panels, which can also be specified with a handpainted illustration of a super yacht alongside the Mulliner script.
The seats and door panels, meanwhile, as well as most of the steering wheel, are all wrapped in cream and beige-coloured leather, while a pinstripe walnut finish features on the centre stack and console; the specially created wood finish also adorns the bespoke illuminated treadplates and the entire boot floor.
Under the bonnet, the car is powered by Bentley’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 powerplant, with 500 bhp and 487 lb-ft of torque.
Bentley says the Galene Edition will be limited to just 30 examples worldwide.
