Audi has released the first design sketches of an all-new, all-electric concept car ahead of its world debut at the Geneva motor show next month.
Taking the form of a compact SUV, the “Q4 e-tron” design study provides a glimpse of the next stage of Audi’s electrification plans and is due to be presented as a volume-production car in late 2020/early 2021.
While the new show car will be following in the footsteps of the Le Mans-inspired ‘PB18 e-tron’ shooting brake and ‘e‑tron GT’ sports saloon – two concept cars that the German manufacturer unveiled towards the end of last year – the eventual road-going version of the Q4 e-tron is likely to become the company’s second fully-electric production model following the e-tron SUV that launched last September.
