Bentley has today revealed the new Continental GT Mulliner Convertible, which will sit atop the brand’s Continental GT family.
Described as “the pinnacle of roof-down automotive luxury”, the drop-top’s exterior gets a new ‘double diamond’ front grille, whose design is said to have been inspired by Bentley’s diamond-in-diamond interior quilting, which, in the case of the new Convertible, features across all four seats, the door casings, rear quarters and – for the first time ever – on the tonneau cover.
Other exterior details include bespoke Mulliner branded side vents that continue the silver on black diamond theme, while the all-new 22″ 10-spoke painted and polished wheels incorporate floating, self-levelling badges that remain upright as the wheel rotates.
Under the hood, the new model will be available with Bentley’s 4.0-litre V8 and 6.0-litre W12 engines. The latter propels the Convertible from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 207 mph, while the former delivers a top speed of 198 mph and 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds.
The first example of the Continental GT Mulliner Convertible will make its global debut at the Geneva motor show next month.
