2016 Mitsubishi Outlander to Debut at New York Motor Show

Mitsubishi has released teaser renderings of the 2016 facelifted Outlander, ahead of the car’s public debut at the New York motor show next month.
The Japanese carmaker says the new model will feature “over 100 engineering and design improvements”, including a new appearance that will aim to emphasis the brand’s renewed focus on “style and refinement”. Its visual appearance looks to have been influenced by the Outlander PHEV Concept-S, which was revealed at the Paris motor show last year.
The 2016 Outlander will become the first Mitsubishi vehicle to debut the brand’s new design language.
In the UK, less than one year from launch, the Outlander PHEV has now overtaken every other plug-in hybrid and pure electric car, even passing vehicles that have been on sale since 2011, such as the Nissan Leaf, to become the nation’s favourite plug-in vehicle.
By the end of March, Mitsubishi claims sales of the vehicle will have passed the 10,000 mark.
